Educating Children in the Theater Arts

Theater CollageHILL COUNTRY CHILDREN’S THEATER, INC. (HCCT) was founded in September of 2002, by Scott O. Jones . HCCT is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to providing a theater arts experience to children ages 6 through 18. Our goal is to build a program that allows children exposure to the theater in a non-threatening, supportive environment.

Now, in our eighth season, HCCT is setting new standards for working with children in theater arts. Over two hundred and fifty young people have participated in our shows, many returning for additional programs in order to experience more aspects of this theater. Additionally, HCCT has gained the support and respect of businesses and families around the Hill Country. With new events and activities planned for the future, we are poised to continue offering Hill Country children a positive, educational place to explore the theater.

The Kerrville First Presbyterian Church will continue to host rehearsals and programs throughout the next season. Additionally, The Salvation Army is working closely with us to establish a permanent home for our theater. It is an honor to have these fine institutions helping us reach the young people in our community.

Check out our NEWS page for information on our activities.
